The research of Metamorphosis hydraulic model experiment which is designed on the base of gravity similarity and turbulent resistance similarity into JUBA Hydropower Station shows the structure layout and design size of JUBA Hydropower Station are reasonable and overflow capacity of sluice can meet the requirements. The sediment control effects of the upstream sand barrier under different flow actions are obvious, through the river dredging regulation can increase 0.21m waterhead of the station, the flow pattern of station at upstream and downstream is not good; through model experimental research propose decreasing the bottom elevation of the power station tailrace channel can increase the waterhead, shunt wall is set between the power station and the sluice at upstream, increase the length and height of the shunt wall at downstream to improve the flow pattern at the upstream and downstream of the hydropower station.
