This paper describe the design feature of high efficiency supercritical units (HESC), and put forward the steam parameters of 600MW HESC in China, analysis the localization of HESC. Through the economical analysis of HESC, it shows that the economics of HESC is better than that of conventional supercritical. HESC unit is suitable to be constructed at a district where coal price is high (more than 300 yuan/t) and power is shortage (annual utilize hour above 5000h).
