摘要

Space missions produce a large amount of data that is stored in a long-term archive. Inrnorder to provide access to the stored data there are data distribution systems availablernthat usually deliver data packets in real-time or on request. These data providers are therninterfaces between the users and the mission control system (MCS) or the long-termrnarchive. One limitation of these systems is that the user has to extract the raw data fromrnthe packets and calibrate it before he can use it. This makes data analysis unnecessaryrncomplicated and slow. Furthermore every data retrieval represents an additional load onrnthe mission control system.rnThis paper is introducing MUST, a set of tools to support spacecraft behaviour analysisrnand performance assessment using processed telemetry and other mission data.rnMUST's core is a repository containing the calibrated data from a subset of all availablerntelemetry. The MUST parameter-based data system provides fast data access andrnretrievals. The increased storage needs of parameter-based systems are counteractedrnby storing only the relevant subset of the available telemetry and by an optimizedrndatabase model. The MUST Repository is independent of the MCS. Therefore, datarnrequests through MUST do not impose further loads on the MCS.rnMUST is intended for users that need to have a very quick access to a selected set ofrnparameters. It is not meant to replace the packet-based mission archive, but should be arncomplementary system to facilitate the daily analysis work with mission data.rnMUST has been validated by the ESA mission SMART-1 for more than 1.5 years. It hasrnbeen very well appreciated and they are using it on daily basis. MUST has been recentlyrndeployed to other ESA missions and its features will become part of ESA's infrastructure.
