The main cost drivers in a total subsea field development are outside FMC KongsbergrnSubsea?s traditional scope of supply. Flowlines/risers, drilling/completion and the productionrnfacility each account for 25 - 30% of the total field development cost.rnThe vehicle to realise lower total cost at both current and future increasing water depths isrntherefore to adopt an overall system approach, with special emphasis on applying subsearnprocessing, and close co-operation and integration with the drilling, pipeline and riserrndisciplines.
