Several Cu(I) cmplexes containing thiorueas as lighands have been prepared for potential use as reductive crosslinking agents in poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC). The reductive crosslinking process should lead to smoke suppression. Also reported there are the initial results from studies of the effects of plasticization and Lewis acid incorporation on reductive crosslinking.
