Fatigue crack growth (FCG) and fatigue life (LCF and HCF) of the oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) nickel-base superalloy PM 1000 have been studied at 850℃ and 1000℃ on strongly textured bar and sheet material. In the HCF range, shorter lives were observed for <100>-specimens as compared to <110> ones, whereas in the LCF range longer lives were found for <100>-specimens. The FCG threshold was found to be higher in the <110> direction as compared to <100> direction. This anisotropy of the fatigue properties closely reflects the orientation dependence of Young's modulus and strength level. As shown by supplementary experiments on coarse elongated grained PM 3030 at 850℃, significantly enhanced fatigue properties could be achieved by additional □ '-hardening.
