The environemtla risks cased by the use of carbon disulfide in the viscose process have lead to th4e search for nw ytpes of processes for fiber production from cellulsoe.As a nove approach.cellulose degrading enzymes have been investigated in the mabnufacture of a directly soluble cellulose.in this paper,the potential of monocomponent cellulases form Trchoderma ressei in the transformaiton of dissolving pulp into diretly alkaline soluble cellulose is discussed.
