The characteristics of punctiform and linear distribution of transmission and transformation projects, determine the particularity of geological disaster prevention. Based on the investigation of geological disasters along a new transmission and transformation project in Gansu Province, this paper analyzes the characteristics and causes of geological hazards, and proposes specific preventive measures, which will provide references for disaster prevention and reduction in subsequent construction of transmission and transformation projects.
