摘要

Digital chromography is not some form of digital painting but that branch of applied physics which deals with representing the color and appearance of an object by using the principle of color coding its digital image. It constitutes a preeminent method of investigation for characterizing and quantifying the faintest color differences in that object and, unequivocally, points to a loss in its homogeneity. This paper describes the possible application of the method in the selective analysis of pigmented plastics in which the slightest color variations often have dire consequences on the expected quality of the product.
