摘要

The target of this modelling study is to investigate both the steady-state and transient effects of interior trim components on the perceived comfort of passengers. Calculating the thermal comfort of occupants in a vehicle or other environment consists of three components: ⅰ) Computation of environmental thermal effects ⅱ) Computation of a human body's response to (ⅰ) ⅲ) Understanding psychological perception of the results of (ⅱ). This study is concentrated primarily on (ⅰ), namely the computation of the surface temperature of a vehicle, with some simple extrapolation of (ⅲ) using the concept of Equivalent Homogenous Temperature. Future work will focus on (ⅱ), allowing for the development of a model to allow better predictions of skin temperatures in response to the environment.
