摘要

Over the last thirty years, the indicators used to characterise diversification strategy have been based on the sectorial diversity of the business portfolio. However, this method of classification, based on positioning, proves inadequate in reflecting the firm's desire to develop the links between activities, a defining element in diversification strategy. This points to the need for taking into consideration the organisational structure as an empirical basis for an understanding of the strategy of diversification.
