Information acquisition is a key function for realizing intelligent information retrieval in database and knowledge base systems. In this paper, we present a new information retrieval method which extracts semantically related information dynamically without using explicit representations of relationships between data items. This method is used to provide a fundamental function for realizing semantical information acquisition in databases and knowledge base systems. The function extracts significant information by receiving a keyword and a sequence of the context data items which explains a context of the keyword. We assume that an existing data item has various meanings and its meaning is fixed only when the context is given. That is, the meaning of a data item cannot be fixed without recognizing contexts, and the equivalence and similarity between data items are not statically fixed without the context. This method provides a function for recognizing the context and computing the equivalence and similarity between data items dynamically according to the context.
