摘要

Reform and opening up to the outside world has resulted in rapid and vigorous development in China's economy and science and technology. And science and technology information (STI) analysis has advanced from its former role of simply providing science and technology literatures for designers and engeneers to today's role of laying a scientific basis for senior policy-making bodies in their resolving complicated problems in social practice, making STI analysis closely related to policy and practice. To fulfil so arduous and complicated mission, a high quality STI analysis workforce is a must. As the generation spanning two centruries, today's young STI analysts are facing the dual chanllenges of improving their own capability and undertaking important missions. They must actively improve and strengthen their overall quality through steeling themselves in a large amount of practical work so as to become as early as possible qualified analysts who can carry out important work. This paper deals with three major respects in improving the quality of today's young STI analysts. They are morol, psychological, and professional qualities.
