Under the microthermometric freezing conditions, the little solids, sometimes in radial forms, may be observed in volatile H_2O-rich and aquiferous inclusions. These solids of special structures are clathrates, and constitute of hydrocarbons (such as CH_4 and C_2H_4), non-hydrocarbons (such as CO_2 and H_2S), and waters, in which hydrocarbons and non-hydrocarbons are generally called volatile components. These solids were more attracted by the scholars in the field of inclusion. This phenomenon is important to the determination of parameters and the calculation of thermodynamic values during inclusion measurements.rnThe determination of clathrates in inclusions, especially the determination of the decomposed temperature Tm, or CLA, may deduce many other thermodynamic parameters and mainly provide the information as the followings. a, the existence of volatile H_2O in inclusion; b, the existence of volatile component in H_2O-rich inclusions; c, showing the thermodynamic properties of fluids in volatile inclusions; d, calculation of H_2O with some volatile components for the parameters such as the total liquid density of CH_4 and H_2O in inclusions; e, obtaining the true salinity of phase H_2O in the water inclusions with volatile components.
