This paper describes work with a transient engine test facility to provide tools to perform vehicle calibration on the testbed. The paper presents performance and emissions results to correlate engine dynamometer tests with vehicle tests on chassis rolls. The important considerations concering the engine installation on the testbed, its control and thermal management are discussed. The paper explains the methodology that is being used to transfer vehicle calibration activity to the testbed.
