The objective of the Team Submarine Maintenance and Ship Work Planning project is to improve SUBMEPP processes supporting development of maintenance planning and execution planning products; and to design and develop a state of the art information system to manage maintenance planning and execution planning information. SUBMEPP supports world-wide submarine repair facilities, each of whom require maintenance planning products to effectively execute submarine maintenance availabilities. The MSWP initiative, well underway, will improve the efficiency of SUBMEPP's core processes resulting in the following gains: 1. Consolidation and integration of maintenance and execution planning information for all submarine platforms. 2. Single efficient process for developing SUBMEPP's core products for all platforms. 3. A state-of-the-art, flexible, user-oriented information system and database. This paper discusses the steps taken by SUBMEPP to move forward in this direction and position Team Submarine for the future.
