摘要

A novel technique to investigate solids movement at the surface of a bubbling fluidised bed was tested. A thermal imaging system was used to monitor temperature profiles at the bed surface after the introduction of a thermal tracer. The mixing patterns in two different circular fluidised beds: 212 mm and 1.56 m inside diameter, were observed as the tracer mixed with the other bed material.
