摘要

The aquaculture of the freshwater redclaw crayfish (C. quadricarinatus) is still in its pioneering days oin Beijing. It is causing quaite a attention for commercial production. although its approach is so new. Spawning takes place throughout spring and summer, our experiments shows the females can spawn two times a year, however, the first spawning takes place in the green-house where the water temperature never falls below 20 degC, the second spawning is during the summer months. the second spawning is during the summer months. the relations between body lenglth and weight is primarily described as W=0.518 7 L 2.099 s (r=0.990 8). The growth curves of redclaw is described as Y=0.016 2x1.643 1 (r=0.909 1). A comparison experiment shows that the water hyacinth (Eichhornia crasipes Solms) is a good water plant for the aquaculture of redclaw. Besides, this paper present a list of artificial diet and some methods for improving environments.
