Lithium activity at equilibrium between LiCoO_2 and Co_3O_4, Fe_2O_3 and LiFe_5O_8, LiFe_5O_8 and LiFeO_2, Cr_2O_3 and LiCrO_2, and Mn_2O_3 and LiMn_2O_4 were measured using a solid state electrochemical cell with Li ion conducting glass-ceramics electrolyte at high temperatures. The standard Gibbs free energies of formation of lithium transition metal double oxides, LiCoO_2, LiFe_5O_8, LiFeO_2, LiCrO_2, LiMn_2O_4, were determined from the measured Lithium activities.
