Electrical conductivity of single crystalline SrTi_(0.9998)Nb_(0.0002)O_(3-δ) was measured as a function of oxygen partial pressure and temperature from 573K to 1723K. At temperatures lower than 1000K, the electrical conductivity was not sensitive to the oxygen partial pressure, whereas, at higher temperatures, the conductivity increased with decreasing oxygen partial pressure due to the formation of electrons associated with the reduction of titanium. Defect chemistry analysis was used to interpret the conductivity variation. The electron mobility and the equilibrium constant of the red-ox reaction were obtained by the parameter fitting of the conductivity data. Thermally activated intrinsic electrons were also observed in the high temperature region. The results were compared with the literature data for undoped and La doped SrTiO_3.
