Abstract: An application of the cylindrical HV to cool dummy loads of electron cyclotron heating (ECH) systems of the DIII-D fusion machine is presented. These devices are subjected to heat fluxes of several hundred W/cm$+2$/ and can be cooled by water. Analysis shows that HV cooling can handle the heat fluxes without exceeding temperature limits. The cylindrical HV may also be used for cooling of fusion diverters. !17
