Abstract: An application of the cylindrical HV to cool dummyloads of electron cyclotron heating (ECH) systems ofthe DIII-D fusion machine is presented. These devicesare subjected to heat fluxes of several hundredW/cm$+2$/ and can be cooled by water. Analysis showsthat HV cooling can handle the heat fluxes withoutexceeding temperature limits. The cylindrical HV mayalso be used for cooling of fusion diverters. !17
