摘要

An effective densification process for silicon carbide matrix composites was developed, which consisted of a thermosetting dual-composition solution and a medium-pressure precursor infiltration & pyrolysis process. The dual-composition solution could react into insoluble, infusible super-polymer precursor, with a high ceramic yield (about 70 wt%) when being heated under premium pressure auxiliary. The densification process has demonstrated the capability of achieving low void volume (11.1 vol%) and high performance (flexural strength 488.2 MPa, fracture toughness 15.13rnMPa • m~(1/2)) C/SiC composites, through a period of 210 hours.
