摘要

The problem of mathematical modeling of business process, in particular, involkes two main questions. First question concerns method of formalization of business process. And the second question is a choice of mathematical method for the analytical analysis of formalized business process model. The later is about how to mathematically analyze a business process model, which mathematical method is more suitable for business process model. Both questions are considered and solved in this paper. As a mathematical method, Mason's rule and W-functions along with GERT networks are considered for calculation of an average task execution time. The results of this paper are applied to a real life case study conducted with DEMO methodology (Dynamic Essential Modeling of Organizations). The results derived by using the proposed in this paper methodology create a sufficient inforamtion for developing inforamtion system for the organization under study. As for the resulting GERT network model, it is a ready simulation model that can be analyzed using any stochastic discrete simulation tools.
