Portfolios are becoming an increasingly popular way to display and assess teaching development. However, the potential of electronic media to create these teaching portfolios is only beginning to be realised. Electronic portfolios allow pre-service and in-service teachers to combine graphics, movies, text, sounds and other computer applications into an organised, portable and internet ready format. At the same time, teacher education students become familiar with technology that will enhance their future teaching.
