The present paper describes the ambient vibration testrnperformed to identify the most significant modal parametersrnof the new Hintze Ribeiro Bridge (Portugal), presenting thernmain results achieved, as well as the correlation with therndynamic parameters provided by the finite element modelrndeveloped at the design stage. Due to the slenderness ofrnseveral concrete piers that support the concrete/steel deck,rnlocated in an area of soft soil, particular attention was alsorndevoted to the identification of local pier modes.
