Hardcopy devices like printers, copiers and multifunctional devices contribute to indoor air pollution. Low emitting devices can be labelled with the eco label "Blue Angel" which limits emissions of benzene, styrene,TVOC, dust and ozone. Results are given for nearly sixty different devices investigated during the years 2003 and 2004. The organic compounds were analysed using Tenax / Thermal desorption and GC-MS. Additionally to TVOC, benzene and styrene further informations are presented for other VOC like phenol, xylenes and some VVOC. The typical VOC shown emission rates of up to some mg/h but some more uncommon VOC like siloxanes were found in a comparable range also. In some cases unidentified compounds appeared with high emission rates. The measured emission rates were taken to calculate indoor air concentrations for typical situations taking into account that normally printing is limited to less than 10 % of the working day whereas emissions from the stand by phase occur all day long.
