The Information Service of the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT) is collecting a directory about projects concerning optical information storage, its applications and services in the Nordic countiries. The directory project is described in this paper together with a brief review on the state of art of the optical disks (videodisks, CD-ROM, WORM disks).
