Road illuminance level is important for the roadsafety. However manual illuminance measuring is notefficient due to time and labor costs.In this paper, we propose a method that evaluatesthe road illuminance level both in the neighborhoodof resident areas and commercial areas using featuresof road lights and landmarks. We conducted experi-ments in a residential road and a commercial road andthe results in both roads confirm effectiveness of ourproposed method.
