This paper the requirements definition for an environment to support design and analysis of business process (EDABP). This environment is compliant with the CIMOSA system life cycle and its main advantage is the integration between descriptive and analytical methods for the modeling and engineering of manufacturing systems. The manufacturing enterprise is considered as a system composed of a concurrent processes and agents execute these processes. A gearbox assembly line scenario shows the applicability of the EDABP.
