摘要

FACTs devices are able to provide the several advantages in the transmission system, thanks to their speed and flexibility. These devices can be connected in series, parallel, or in a combination of both. The Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is one of the FACT device at which research focuses on. In this paper the modeling of UPFC is done and its performance in a hybrid-grid connected system is evaluated. The unique feature of the UPFC is such that it regulates real and reactive power at the same time and voltage amplitude at the UPFC terminals. The proposed model is simulated using MATLAB/Simulink software.
