摘要

A practical method for buckling analysis of multi-storey unbraced frames is proposed in this paper. The method is based on the concept of storey-based buckling and the strategy of decomposing a multi-storey unbraced frame into a series of one-storey unbraced frames. Three decomposing approaches are proposed and investigated. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The comparison made on the results obtained by the proposed method and those of other methods show that the proposed method provide better accuracy than other methods.
