Cemat has experienced a significant onward development by using Simatic PCS7 as the platform of the process control system.This affects the functionality as well as the worldwide support, the global availability of spare parts and the incorporation in Siemens' Totally Integrated Automation (TIA). Compatibility with the older versions has not been forgotten. Adoption into the TIA family ensures further development and further integration in the PCS7 system family. With Cemat as the control system the cement works operator therefore participates automatically in the technical progress of Siemens automation technology. Siemens also actively supports independent system integrators, so in addition to the Siemens contacts the clients also have competent independent suppliers practically at their door. The cement-specific Cemat control system with Simatic PCS7 as the platform will therefore set the standards for the cement industry's current and future requirements for automation systems.
