DISCUSSION ON DYNAMIC COEFFICIENTS FOR WIND-RESISTANT DESIGN IN SINGLE-LAYER RETICULATED SHELLS

摘要

Wind load is an important load in structural design of large-span single-layer reticulated shells. In order to consider the effects of fluctuating component of wind in a quasi-static wind-resistant design method, dynamic coefficients are usually used. In this paper, a method using artificial simulated wind load to estimate the coefficients has been presented. Based on wind load code of China, a Kiewitt type single-layer reticulated spherical shell was used as an example to investigate the dynamic coefficients, which is named wind-excited vibration coefficients in this code. Through a comparison between dynamic time-history analysis results and quasi-static analysis results, it is proved that the wind-excited vibration coefficients should be paid much attention to for wind-resistant design in large-span single-layer reticulated shells.
