摘要

The purpose of this paper is to present a proposal to integrate the new rules S.R.t.P. in the general layout of conventional ferries between 1000 and 1500 passengers, combining safety with innovation within the frame of a pleasant and functional internal design that becomes attractive to the passenger. The proposal is based in the arrangement of three independent towers interconnected by mean of staircase- trunks, fire doors and a passage way above the exterior level. These towers contain a margin of spaces , in case of accident, to accommodate in a comfortable way and incorporate other passengers evacuated from the damaged tower and incorporate the necessary facilities, in easily accessible locations perfectly integrated in the arrangement, to provide food, drinking and medical cares. In case that the "casualty threshold" be exceeded, this layout makes easier the evacuation with the conventional equipment available on board.
