摘要

The paper presents a comparison between sinusoidal and trapezoidal waveforms in order to reduce the torque ripple and the power to grid fluctuation for large direct-drive PM wind generator. Trapezoidal waveform brings 28% higher power density but also two major drawbacks: necessity to vary the DC bus voltage and requirement for an additional filter on the DC bus.
