This paper mainly discusses from two aspects, one is desulfuration during the combustion process, and the other is flue gas desulfuration after the combustion process. It introduces and compares the achievement, which is about the SO_2 control technology overseas and inland by several instances, just like flue-gas washing, fluid bed combustion and absorbent injection inside the furnace, etc. First, of the thermal power generation unit overseas, the essential aspect of the flue gas desulfuration is the flue gas desulfuration equipment (FGD technology) which is the mature technology, it attaches importance to develop absorbent and additive, also develop the technology of the circulating fluid bed combustion (CFBC technology) very fast. However some advanced overseas desulfuration systems are installed in the high-sulfur coal large-capacity units inland step by step, such as the limestone-gypsum wet process, rotating spray process. Second, this paper also discusses some ubiquitous problems in operation, as the blockage, erosion and the high power consumption. The author proposes the desulfuration countermeasure in the native coal-fired power plants.
