摘要

This paper is on the tool point control of a commercial aerial lift with a diesel engine as the primary power supplier. Due to the kinematic redundancy of the mechanical structure the control of the lift is basically an optimization problem. The main criteria are reduction in requierd operator skills, fuel consumption and noise level. Since the control strategy is supposed to work in real time the optimization is carried out by means of a direct computation of the optimal actuator velocities based on a tool point velocity reference. Emphasis is on this computational procedure, however, a discussion on a global strategy that handles the engine speed control is included.
