In terms of N-S equation and large eddy simulation (LES) models, by utilizing the body-fitted coordinates and tetrahedral grids system, solving with the SIMPLE algorithm, the author of this paper conducted 3-D unsteady turbulent flow calculation to the Francis turbine interior flow, and has accurately forecast the interior flow of a Francis turbine under various operating modes, especially the vortex flow in draft tube and runner.
