摘要

The direct application of Theory of Constraints (TOC) to information system (IS) project management, known as IS project risk problem in the multiple project situations, has recently emerged as one of the most popular approaches to project management. The object of this paper is to highlight interde-pendencies in the multiple IS project situations and to introduce TOC that enables the systematic identification of interdependen-cies and relations. Following an overview of the current approaches to multiple project situations, the basic items of risk in IS project development and the risk in the multiple project situations were analyzed. On the basis of that, the TOC approach was introduced into IS project risk management. After identifying and quantifying risks, 10 top risks were ranked and the risk reduction strategies were proposed accordingly.
