With the rapid development of Internet and computer technology virtual enterprises are popular in recent years. The information transmission of virtual enterprise through Internet network is the important part in execution of product manufacture. The main content of information transmission include the form of information, the security of information, the number of information, the transmission rate etc. XML (Extensible Markup Language) is spreading out as the standard format for data exchange on the Internet among virtual enterprises. Firstly, the present research of XML technology are analyze through a number of academic reference including a lot of aspects. Secondly, the XML application technology in virtual enterprise is researched on the base of reference including the followings: (1) the relational database conversion to the XML documents. (2) the security of network transmission of XML document. (3) the XML documents conversion to the relational database. Some examples are verified for the methods and the algorithm. Thirdly, some conclusions are draw out from the above application research.
