摘要

The demand to reform mechanical engineering education is urgent to satisfy the demands of social and economical development of the nation and the world in the 21st century. For this reason a novel diversified training mode was proposed to train diversified mechanical talents at Zhejiang University of Technology. The tutorial program and curriculum were made out according to the needs of mechanical talents of social and economic development in recent years. Some novel teaching reform procedures, such as tutorial system, flexible schooling length and double-bachelor certificates, were set up to develop student's engineering consciousness, practical ability and innovation spirit. By five-year practice of National Higher Education Reform Projects for supporting loan of World Bank, the implemental results to train diversified mechanical talents at Zhejiang University of Technology are outlined.
