摘要

For a variety of reasons, the structure of China's economic system is seriously out of balance in terms of the east, the central and the west regions, restricting the efficiency of China's economic development. Consequently, China's government is implementing its Strategy of Great Exploitation in the West, in an attempt to change the structural imbalance on regional basis over a long period of time, and to carry out the strategic adjustment of structure in terms of the east, the central and the west regions. In light of Marxist axiology, the pansystem theory and pansystem methodology originated with Prof. Xuemou Wu, this paper makes an analysis of the regional structures of China's economic system, puts forward the measuring models of the imbalance of regional structures, finds out the reasons for imbalance of regional structures and the orientation and strength of structural optimization, brings forth and proves the theoretical arguments and policy for China's economic system's adjustment and optimization of regional structures, as well as a series of extraordinary and unique views that can serve as guidelines for China's implementation of its Strategy of Great. Exploitation in the West in the new century, and provides a scientific basis of both qualitative and quantitative analysis for the successful implementation of the strategy.
