For the evaluation of the Radiation Protection in several departments of Nuclear Medicine was elaborated and itrnapplied a survey that includes mainly: aspects of the licence and compliance with the requirements settled downrnin this, the program of individual radiological surveillance and their evaluation, functions that it completes thernService of Radiation Protection, training program and the personnel's training, equipment and means of RadiationrnProtection, radiological surveillance program of the work areas, characteristics of the installation, radioactivernwaste management, quality assurance program, relative aspects to the Radiation Protection in the procedures ofrndiagnoses; as well as to pregnant patients and those related with the investigation of accidental medicalrnexposures. The work makes a systematization and discussion of the state of compliance of the radiationrnprotection requirements reflected in the International Basic Safety Standards for Protection against IonizingrnRadiation and for the Safety of Radiation Sources (BSS) and the main recommendations are exposed to achievernin these departments the optimization of the Radiation Protection.
