Eddy covariance and radiation measurements were made for about 5 weeks at a heterogeneous farmland in South China. This study aims to investigate the sensitivity of turbulent fluxes to the coordinate rotation and the significance of the Webb's correction. First, two rotation methods are adopted, namely the natural wind coordinate (NWC) and planar fit coordinate (PFC). Linear regressions show that sensible and latent fluxes appear insensitive to the choice of coordinate. But CO_2 fluxes (absolute value) with PFC are less than those with NWC by almost 20%. Furthermore, the mean vertical velocity deduced by the Webb's correction is commonly less than 1 mm s~(-1), which has a negligible effect on latent fluxes. However, its impact on CO_2 fluxes is significant, as CO_2 exchange is reduced by more than 20%. During the daytime, the effect of the Webb's correction is less than 3% on latent fluxes, while it approaches -50% on CO_2 fluxes.
