Many innovations fail, and as innovation is required for organizational survival, it is relevant to improve it. Support from research on innovation has limitations in terms of relevance and specificity. An additional way to support the individual organization is by means of a corporate mind, consisting of a memory and a reflexive capacity. The memory can support first order innovation, by making better use of relevant distinctions that have been made before. The reflexive capacity can support second order innovation, by facilitating the elicitation of better distinctions. The paper sets out a model to create this organizational mind, drawing upon complexity ideas, such as social constructivism, evolution and neural networks. The model provides a design for a knowledge repository, and a set of instructions to interact with it in an evolutionary manner. It will make the social system 'innovation team' and the meme system 'innovation experiences' co-evolve concerning innovation proficiency. Provided that the model is applied, it is self-reinforcing in its supportive value for the success of innovations.
