摘要

Xi'an JiaoTong University Library is one of the Million Book Project's scanning centres in China. In this global collaborative project, up to 15,000 volumes will be selected, scanned, image converted, and XML encoded. Meantime, some new thoughts on this on-going cooperated DL project such as free open access for Internet users, copyrights, outsourcing, digital content delivery, metadata creation and quality control are discussed in this paper. At the end, a brief conclusion is presented.
