In this paper, we analyze the formation of knowledge innovation ability with psychology. We find that many mental activities have an effect on knowledge innovation ability, such as attitude, attention, will, perception, comprehension, maintenance, application and transfer. We divide these into three categories, i.e. subjective factor, process factor and formation factor and introduce their concepts. We also researched the relationship between these activities and the formation of knowledge innovation ability. This provides a psychological support to foster knowledge innovation ability.
