摘要

This paper presents the experimental and numerical studies on strength, stiffness and failure modes of bolted beam-to-column web moment connection (called "minor" axis joint) with beam seat. In this type of joint the beam is framed into the column web with the action of the beam moment causing bending of wide flange column about its weak axis. In connections, described in this paper, flange moment plate and seat plate were used to transfer bending moment to the both column web and flanges. The triangle stiffener of beam seat was adopted.
