Space rigidity of timber skeleton structures can be provided by bracing and/or rigid or semi-rigid frames. Solutions that are utilising rigid or semi-rigid frames enable bigger interior flexibility. The connection between structural members of these frames can be made by glued-in rods. Nowadays research is focused on discovering mathematical model for this connection. The first model is based on the component method; the second one is based on the FEM analysis. Both models are discussed in the paper. The possibilities of practical applications of a designed joint are mentioned at the end of the paper.
